Two Master Thesis projects related to Computational Fluid Dynamics

  1. Development of a hybrid RANS/LES technique combined with transition model

The aim is development of hybrid RANS/LES (Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes/Large Eddy Simulation) technique coupled with transition model for simulation of turbulent and transitional flows in aeronautical applications (see attached file).

  2. Direct Numerical and Large Eddy Simulations to investigate boundary layer instabilities mechanism influenced by acoustic waves

The aim is to understand the instability mechanism in the laminar and turbulent boundary layers triggered by the acoustic waves using highly accurate flow solutions obtained from Direct Numerical and/or Large Eddy Simulations (see attached file).
