Research

The Faculty cooperates with research institutes and industry units specializing in automatisation, aeronautics and power engineering. The students are offered industrial attachments in those institutions. Being familiar with work conditions, they often take jobs in those places. The good quality of the educational offer has been proven by the graduate study followed under the Erasmus Mundus scheme, which supports top-quality European Masters Courses and offers EU-funded scholarships for the third World country nationals. Faculty coordinates an inter-faculty EMARO - Erasmus Mundus master program in Advanced Robotics

The ongoing projects supported by European Union, by the Polish Ministry or by other research sponsoring bodies cover a wide range of problems - from human safety, to robotics for the aeronautics industry, methods of energy preservation, the use of solar energy, the methods of efficient air conditioning or the methods of efficient heating. The scientific and didactic activity is also realized within the frame of Centres of Excellence or The European University Networks. The students can participate in projects devoted to airplane designing, design of novel engines, cooling and heating systems, or novel robots of diverse applications (surveillance, aeronautics industry, entertainment, medical issues). Students at our Faculty are provided with the possibilities of studying abroad, especially within the framework of SOCRATE/ERASMUS programmes.
