Doctoral Studies

General information on doctoral studies at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering

Studies last four years. They rely on independent research and active participation in the scientific activities of the Faculty. Each graduate student before the start of the study chooses an individual scientific supervisor of the professors and doctors habilitated faculty.

  1. Recruitment for the doctoral studies is carried out twice a year, in September and in February.
  2. The studies run by the training program set by the Faculty Council and in accordance with the individual study plan developed by the candidate, in consultation with the supervisor.
  3. Each semester of study is approved by the head of the doctoral studies on the basis of a written report of the candidate approved by the supervisor.
  4. The training program includes basic and advanced lectures, self-study and participation in seminars.
  5. No later than the third year of study should be followed by the opening of doctorate procedure by the Faculty Council. Before the end of the fourth year doctoral student must prepare a scientific dissertation containing original contribution to knowledge, eligible for publication in a recognized scientific journal.
  6. The tuition fee for foreign students from non-EC countries is 13 000,- PLN per semester.
  7. For admission an applicant must attain Master Degree awarded by an approved University in an appropriate subject.
